Basic Editing Video out of sync with audio

Greetings , Please forgive me if this has been covered . I have Studio Platinum 12.0
I have a 4 minute CD track imported. I have an MP4 video imported that is
approximately 2 seconds behind. I have tried to move the video to the right, I have played
with the Trimmer. Again - my apologies , I am a total newbie to this program.

Sync the audio and the video at the start of the track. Then move to the end. Hold CTRL and drag the audio event until it is again in sync at the end. If you are lucky, the whole thing should be in sync. If the video and audio events are different, it will be very hard to sync them.

Awesome !!! That did the trick ! , my next challenge is to save this or render in such
a way that it looks and sounds good on you tube. Any advice ?

show some kind of delay ? almost like there are several video files playing simultaneously
on the same track ?

Try rendering your video. It may well be just fine, while it is the preview that is having a hard time.

To deal with the playback issue, you may want to play around with the audio buffers. They can be tweaked by hitting Options, hit Preferences, tab Audio Devices. There are two sliders here. Increasing the buffer size usually solves the issue.

As for rendering, use the Mainconcept AVC/AAC codec, choose 720p or 1080p template with the correct framerate for where you live. (25fps or 29fps)

You are trying to sync a CD with live audio?
Use one or the other, don't mix.

Thanks Musicvid10, I have the Audio on the Video track muted.
I played with this for a while in the past 2 days. I have a lot to learn
about this program , I know it has lots of features and functions , Much to learn.

My Daughter loaded these into her Mac and got everything all synched up with out a hitch ?

I'm confident that once I get the work flow down,
the Sony Format should look and sound better.
