Basic Menu Question

carchey wrote on 12/28/2012, 3:11 PM
I'm creating a DVD with one video that I created using Vegas Movie Studio. All I want is to add a image/graphic of a button on the top page that when pressed would start the video, and/or if the Play button is pushed on the remote the video would play.

There's lots of information about creating menus, I guess I want one menu item, the button icon/graphic to link to the video and play it.

I haven't found the right steps though I have been reading the help pages and "show me how" for about 3 hours.

I'm sure it's simple, I'm just on connecting the dots. Any help would be appreciated.

Create a new menu project with desired properties (DVD/BD, PAL/NTSC, etc)

Drag your video file to the main menu page. This will create a play button with image based on the start of the video. You can tinker with this to pretty it up.

I've created a free three-part how-to Basic Training tutorial series for DVD Architect Pro and Studio. You can find them all three parts on this page:

Steve,

Thank you. Any way for me to view without registering?

I guess you do have to register to view them. But registration is free and you'll never get spammed.

But if you don't want to register for the site, you can see parts 1 and 2 on YouTube also. Just do a YouTube search on "Muvipix".
