Why? What do you want to finally achieve?

My partner creates VHS tapes with a timecode window and creates a text file from that. Premiere (sorry, I used the 'P' word) allowed us to import that text file, and do a batch capture from the list. The current list is comprised of clips from over 50 mini-DV tapes. It would be a real time-saver to have this ability, not just now, but for new projects.

Okay - I think I understand. This is beyond me. However "Batch Capture" scripts have been touched on in this forum - maybe not the answer you are seeking. Do a search for "batch capture" - see what I mean?

IMHO - This appears a complex issue - though a function much desired!

Not at my edit station, so I can't check this one out. If the sfvidcap file is in a delimited text file, you may be able to do this with any spreadsheet program.

I used to do this when converting Canopus capture files into a format Premiere could read. I recorded a macro to do the conversion automatically.

It is NOT a delimited text file.

Anyone know what format it is?
