Batch capture with Hollywood DVbridge and HI 8

Is this possible. My firewire card is a Western Digitel built on the NEC codec. I have a Sony HI-8 camera with a LANC connection to Hollywood DV Bridge. With standard capture works fine. I have noticed that I do not receive timecode when the camera is in fast forward. Could this be my firewire card or the DV Bridge?

Does your camera actually generate timecode?

The camera does not write time code on the tape. However the LANC cable sends the LCD counter in hours:minutes:seconds to the Vegas software.

But does this match the actual timecode on the tape or just start at 0 no matter where on the tape?

It shows the current LCD position. If I swap tapes the LCD counter stays the same. I do not think batch capture is possible with my setup. Does anyone else have this type setup and can you batch capture?
