hi one and all....

i have a couple of dozen interview clips (m2t) which i need to add visual time code to for client appraisal.

i know there's a number of ways of doing this with scripts, extensions (i have the usual suspects), but as usual i have a mental block ;-(

which is the simplest

as ever in everyone's debt

hi altarvic,

thanks for that - i probably should have added in my original post that i wanted them produced as individual files rather than all off the tl in one hit.

each interview has to go to the interviewee for release, so obviously i can't send hours and hours of interviews to each and expect them to check their own (heck, an hour or so is already sending me to sleep;-() - my other thought was similar to yours and create regions on the tl and then batch render them out as individual files (i think i can do this), BUT, i remember years (?) ago i had a similar job and used an extension - excalibur, ultimate, production assistant.... i haven't loaded any of these yet on my new ssd - i'm trying to keep my install as clean as possible and hopefully avoid any 'problems' with 11, which seems to be much faster than 10 was for many things.

maybe i should go and check out the various web pages. i could probably do with a break from editing the interviews anyway.....

Batch Render script is a free solution and can render every region as individual video file. I believe that all major extensions contain batch rendering tools. You can try them for free and choose the best for you ;)

Yea, Vegas Pro Production Assistant was designed for exactly this scenario. It will add the timecode, add a watermark if you'd like, do any other processing and do the render for as many files as you throw at it in as many formats as you'd like.
