BBE Plug-In

I really miss the 862 BB Sonic Maximizer I have in my rack now that I do all my mixing in the computer. I was pleased to find a BBE plug-in and am considering getting it.

The question is does it work in Vegas? I suspect it will, as it claims compatibility with Sound Forge and Acid, and the Acid mixer seems to be almost identical to Vegas'. Still I didn't want to shell out for it to find out it won't work in Vegas. I use both Vegas and Acid for mixing depending on the project, and want to have it for both applications.

The other question is has anyone else gotten the BBE plug-in? Any thoughts to share?

Works great. Beeen using it for years. There was a long thread on it here quite a while ago; you might want to search for it, but it seems that there are quite a few guys running it.

I’ve got it and I use it in ACID, Sound Forge, and Vegas. Works great!

It works just like the outboard BBE. I have found it works best on the master fader, last in chain after compression, etc.

Have it and it works just fine. I use the BBE stuff mainly for dialog, although these days doing it all digital there is not as much degradation (ok - in theory, none) as there was going from analog nagra to analog mag to an analog mix and ending up on a tiny optical track.

But either way - yeah the plugin works just dandy to brighten up those dull spots in the final mix stage.
