BCC 9 uninstall problem

Hi!

I have problems with my BCC 9 installation and BCC units that came with VP15. The pluins say the are in trial mode.

BCC supports asks me to uninstall BCC 9 and reinstall. However the BCC couldn't be uninstalled using its own unistallation application nor with Windows program uninstallation application. It is still there.

So I manually deleted the Boris folders I could find in the C drive, like C/program and C/Program(86) so there is no contents left there. But that only removed the Boris plugins, not the program. So in the Windows programs app it is still there. And as long as it is the new downloaded BCC9 will not install because it detects a lower version installed.

I asked Boris support about this but thay haven't answered yet.

Does anyone know how to completely get rid of BCC 9?

I have also experienced plenty of problems with completely removing BorisFX.

Here are all the file locations for Boris FX that I am aware of:

C:\Program Files\Boris FX, Inc
C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins
C:\ProgramData\BorisFX
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\BorisFX
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\BorisFX\Logs

Make sure to open RegEdit and check delete these folders as well.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BorisFX
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Boris FX, Inc.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BorisFX

Delete the Vegas Temporary Files Cache if you see any BorisFX entries.
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\15.0

Thanks for these tips. I did all that now but with the same results, BCC sees a lower version and cannot be installed without uninstalling the first one.

Just to let you know, Boris FX support and their forum admin helped me to finally rid the PC of BCC9. The final solution was a Microsoft Cleaner program that worked.

However, in the process I have also learned BCC9 is not able to coexist with the BCC11 units that came with Vegas Pro 15 (or was it 16?). So I can't just reinstall them. It's either BCC9 or BCC11, not both on the same host. So right now I am considering upgrading to BCC11 or BCC2019 just to get all in. Not sure yet. It's a lot of money.

Except for this Vegas Pro 16 runs very very well now with hardly any glitches or crashes. VP16 is now the best Vegas so far, at least for me.
