BCC Filter Movie Gallery?

Hi all,
I adored Filter Movie Gallery http://www.borisfx.com/Adobe/bccae/movie_gallery.php
title : "google"
Extruded EPS.

I got a little bit confused:)

- I have BCC 7 for Vegas but it does not work with Vegas??
-I have to download AE and BCC7 for this effects ??
- or buy Filter movie galery separately for AE ??
- or buy Filter movie galery separately for Vegas ??

In short how can I get this effect with Vegas or should I switch to AE??

If this effect can be obtained with Vegas a simple veg file would be very very helpful?

Thanks in advance.

Extruded EPS is also available within Vegas Pro. But your external file input must be an Illustrator EPS file.

BCC7 only works with Vegas Pro 10 so if you have BCC7 and Vegas Pro 10 you have everything you need to make that effect. If you want to learn how it's done, just watch my tutorial on Boris TV:

While we are the subject of Boris, I have recently taken the plunge to pick up Red 5 and am considering BCC 7. While the video tutorials are great, does anyone have any suggestions for "books" to become more familiar with the programs.

I recently acquired Boris Red, too.
Unless I misunderstood, a recent post (on this Forum or elsewhere - I don't remember for sure) said that everything that's in BCC7 is already available in Boris Red.
Makes sense, because the list price for Red is lots higher than that for BCC.

I'm at about the same stage you are, I think -- just embarking on the Red learning curve. My understanding (again, I could be mistaken) is that tutorials for BCC7 show techniques that can also be done in Red.
I expect to find out whether or not that's the case, within the next week or two, by direct experimenting.

That's correct. BCC7 is included with Boris RED 5. No need to purchase BCC7 if you already have RED 5 unless you really like the timeline integration with Vegas of working directly with the Vegas GUI for FX parameters and automation.

Pretty much all of the parameters are the same so all of the BCC7 tutorials can be followed and get the same results. You have the added advantage in RED 5 that you have the ability to directly interact with the preview windows so it's actually easier to use BCC7 in RED than it is natively in Vegas.

Has anyone got the workspace panels in RED 5 to separate over 2 screens as for RED 4 and Blue?

Yes. If you want to have floating windows on your second monitor, just right-click on any tab and select Open Tab in New Window and then drag it over to your second monitor.

I have Boris Red 5 (BR), Vegas 11, and CS6 (graphics originally made in Illustrator CS2 but recently opened and saved in Ai CS6).

I am attempting to bring my Illustrator graphic with layers in to Vegas via BR.

I have attempted to follow the tutorial on bring EPS or Ai files into Vegas with BCC but can't do it...The whole process seems quite different in BR...and I can't find in BR the Extruded EPS feature that is in BCC.

Am I correct that BR only supports Ai v8 (1998!!!) files or or Ai v8 EPS? It seems like it because I can open v8 files in BR but can't open CS files.

I have spent ages trying to work this out, but without success...
