Just a guess, but I believe it should be installed on the C drive where all of your programs should be. I have BCC Complete 10 and VP-14 build 244 and no issues except the occasional program crash when using Title Studio when importing 3D objects but I expect that is the fault by the object.
Just as a reverse on the 'isolation test', you could always install a free NLE -e.g. Davinci Resolve, which accepts BCC 10 - on your F drive, re-install BCC and then see if BCC appears in Resolve. If it doesn't, then you can be reasonably certain that your NLEs need to be installed on the C drive.in order for BCC to install in those NLEs.
