BCC8 is out

Just got the e-mail from SCS. Upgrade from BCC7 to BCC8 for $295. I'll hold off until I decide whether that's a good price for the additional features in 8 that I don't have in 7.

I'm sure it's well worth it. As much as I hate to say it, my problem is that I'm afraid of updating any Vegas specific plugins until V11 is actually stable. If V12 gets released before V11 actually works, I will be switching to some other editing program and I really don't want to buy further into a platform that I might not be using anymore.

Hi Lawrence,

Have you seen a post by Royce1 about setting Vegas11 to Windows Vista compatibility mode? He seemed to think it made VP11 a lot more stable.

OT: Rob, something struck me as funny about that suggestion, like adjusting the rabbit ears a little to the left on the TV set so you can just pull in channel 12. No, wait, a little more to the left. Oh, you also bought a VCR to work with that set, did you? ;)

Or even worse, adjusting the rabbit ears, holding on to one of them and having 3 of your family members all join hands to make one giant antenna. Hold it! RIght there! Nobody move!

I use BBC 8 along with Vegas 10, works fine.

But I haven't tried BCC8 with Vegas 11 since V11 just crashes doing basic things like open up an FX, search help, render.....

Heh! Funny. I made the same rabbit ears comparison about adjusting preview ram.
