flicker fixer saved me hours on some timelapse footage that I was doing where the budget just wouldn't have been there otherwise to try and adjust each frames exposure to match the last.

I had to use the trial on AE while I waited for the Vegas version to come out, but I expect that I'll be picking up 8 in the next few months here.

On my DSLR, I can see the flicker fixer being a pretty handy tool. If you don't lock the exposure when you are shooting, it changes in jumps rather than smoothly as on a camcorder. Every so often I forget to hit the lock button and it would be handy to have a simple way to fix this.
