Upon system installation, I am used to disable anything I consider useless, unsecure, or what I don't care about.
One lesson learned today with Seven and 9c: do not disable windows image acquisition service.
If disabled, 9c won't start anymore, displaying an error window about missing or corrupted twain_32.dll.
I have to admit that for a while I was feeling bad thinking about some possible Seven re-install :)
