Beeping with a Sony plug-in

I have Sound Forge 9 and Vegas 6. If I try to use the Sony Resonant Filter plug-in, it seems to emit random and arbitrary beeps during playback. Using the Parametric EQ plug-in works fine with no strange noises.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Sounds like its in the "demo" mode. Do a search on this and the SF forum for more info and the fix. Maybe search at the knowledge base as well.

Thanks. I did this, and found some similar posts, but the supposed fix - installing the Sound Forge 9.0e update - changed nothing. The article referred to in the Knowledgebase (Answer ID #894) detailed what to do in case you have the beeping problem in all "legacy Sonic Foundry-branded applications," but Vegas 6 is SONY-branded and installed in the Program Files\Sony directory just like SF 9 is. The solution is basically to re-install Sound Forge and then run repair installs on SF-branded apps. It doesn't sound like it's my issue, quite.
