best animation software compatible with Vegas

I would like to add a more professional look to my video introductions. Can someone give me some suggestions about the best software packages available to animate logos and such. For example, the Paramount mountain where the stars twirl around and then settle at the top, or the 20th century fox logo with the moving spotlights etc.
Thanks

Asking about the "best animating software" is a little bit like asking whether Macs are better than PCs. It's hard to get an objective answer. Can we assume that you are looking for something that costs in the neighborhood of $100?

You might want to check out Ulead's 3D Studio. http://www.ulead.com/c3ds/runme.htm

I use Martin Hash's Animation Master. This can create extruded text, very easily, but is also a powerful character animation package. I look at it like Vegas. Vegas works as good as the big boys for much less money, and AM is the best kept secret for animation and 3D graphics, for much less than the animation big boys.

I've fiddled around quite a bit with the lower-end and midrange animation packages, including Ulead's. It all depends just how fancy you want to get. Right now I use Crystal Graphics Crystal 3D Impact! Pro (see them at http://www.crystalgraphics.com/web/3dimpactpro.main.asp). You can download a trial version from their website. Easy to use, with excellent video quality. I do everything in PAL 720x576 25 fps. Haven't used it in Vegas 4 yet (only just bought V4 and haven't really used it) but it works beautifully in Premiere 6. You create AVIs or GIFs and simply import them as a media asset into your NLE like any other clip.
