Best parameters for 4K rendering

Hi all,

I upgraded to Movie Studio 17 yesterday and did not find the render template "Sony XAVC-S" that I what used to in the previous version.

What should be the best option now for clips coming from Sony sport Cam (4K, 30 fps) and Canon EOS (Full HD) ?

I found Intel QSV or NVIDIA NVENC for UHD in the rendering options, but I'm a bit confused with the fsp (29.97 or 59.94 ?), and the fact that for a given project, the rendered file is smaller than the "old" XAVC-S : 1 to 1,5 Go instaed of 5.

I did not notice any visual difference between the 3 render techniques on one single movie for now, but I would appreciate to find a unique "correct" settings template.

Thanks !

The other filetypes you mentioned are also AVC coded as the XAVC-S but mostly with lower bitrates. That means smaller files.
In those rendertemplates you wrote you can customize the used bitrates and framerates till values that suite you for your wanted quality.

Thanks for this.

By the way, I did not find any setting with the initial total bit rate (was around 80000 Kbits/s with my previous renderings, is between 14000 and 38000 now).

I will try customize this parameter according to your advice.
