Best way to add new clips?

I have a ten minute short and i want to take some of the clips out of the middle and insert other shots. How can i do this without having to spend forever readjusting all the other shots along the time line? the only way i can think of is to render it but I'm not finished yet and Ive been told not to render more then once. Any ideas?

You can enable the "Auto Ripple" feature, or simply select the "selection edit" tool, and select many clips at once and move them all together. This way it doesn't take much time.
