Best way to adjust a LUT

Hi everyone.  If i'm using the VisionColor Plugin to use LUTs in VegasPro do any of you have suggestions on the best way to make adjustments after the LUT is applied? (Since the plugin has no strength or fine tuning adjustment)   I find that it's usually too strong of a look.  I tried duplicating track layers and putting the top track at 50% and removing the LUT on the top track, thus blending the tracks, but I'm not sure if that's really the correct way to go about it.  Is the only option to manually tweak the curves, saturation and contrast, etc?  Any help would be awesome.

That's the only way I know of to do it. Or vice versa, with the LUT on the top track, but the effect is the same. Of course you can mimic the LUT with other FX, or you can add those after the LUT to tune it.

Vegas badly needs the following functionality:

  • Import LUTs and allow them to be remembered as presets
  • Apply LUTs to media/events
  • Adjust and animate the strength of the applied LUT
  • Generate/remember/export LUTs from the result of a single effect or chain of effects (i.e. "Filter Package")

As an aside, there's a related discussion about the easiest way to apply a LUT to some but not all events at https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-13-keyframing-visioncolor-lut-plugin-as-video-output-fx--103927/
