Best Way to Render 1920?

I'm having great success with everything but the 1920 resolution. I'm using both a CanonVixia and a Nikon D7000 (which they just updated the movie software in due to NLE issues). I get the blue screen of Death for any size render to 1920, but 1440 renders fine at any lenght. I'm sure I must be using the wrong output settings. I'm setting the project to 24P 1920 and then using templates that match. No dice.

Is there a document anywhere that discusses the various render options and when its best to use them. The Nikon is 24P with a Bframe @ 1080 and the Canon does 60I. Just looking for the best way to Mix these and get a ACHD output. MP4 Sony the best?

System: AMD Quad. 3 Ghz., 16 Gig ram, lots of TB's free on seperate render disk, windows7 64 bit (with 64 bit fix), Radeon 5570 1 Gig. memory video.

The "best" output depends on how you're going to use it, D7. The best output for display on a Web site is very different than the best output for use as source footage in a BluRay disc and the best output for display on a computer is very different than the best output for use in another video project.

And of course the best results for any output can be achieved when your project properties match your source video as closely as possible.

For instance, 1080 24p is not a good format to use for source footage because Vegas Movie Studio must adapt it to one of its supported frame rates. Can you Nikon shoot in more standard 1920x1080 30i, like your Canon? Then you can set up your project properties to match those video specs exactly.

If you're getting a BSOD that suggests that you have a problem, probably a faulty or incompatible device driver. I would check into that and it will probably fix your VMS issue.

Found the problem. My Nikon D7000 just had a software upgrade for the video as there were apparently some problems with NLEs using their files, and now everything renders 5 times faster and I have no problems. Key factor for me is that use a green screen and need the high ISO performance of the D7K to use my work area.

Thanks all who answered.
