Best way to render project for good quality projec

I am doing a project for a youth football banquet. I need to have it done by Saturday. It will end up being about 30 minutes long with mostly stills but some video thrown in (strategically).

It is SD with some of the video shot in 16:9.
Project properties are 4:3

I will be projecting the presentation. How should I render it out for the best quality presentation? I was thinking about sending it back to DV.avi tape and then playing it to the projector with a camcorder or miniDV deck (which I have). I thought that this would bypass the possible glitches that a DVD could have and the lesser compressed DV.avi (as compared to MPEG2) would be a better quality. Am I missing something here?

If you can play it from a computer I would render it as a .wmv file at the resolution of the projector.

This will look far better than a DVD. It will maintain the quality of the stills and the video should look good too.

Render as "best" especially if you have animated the position/scaling of the stills and everything will be smooth as silk.

I used to transfer to DV tape and then play directly from my camera. That works great, but is not really necessary. If you do a transfer to a DVD at 8,000,000 CBR, it will look just as good, and you'll have the advantage of being able to play it from your laptop, portable DVD player, or just about anything else.

An iPod touch is wonderful for this sort of thing.
