I too am not able to invoke Track FX. When I attempt to (by clicking on the FX
button on a track) I get the message: "The Sonic Foundry Track FX1 Plug-in is
disabled because Sonic Foundry Vegas is not properly registered." However, I
dl'd, installed and re-registerd Beta 3 after unistalling Beta 2, just as I did
with Beta 2 when I replaced Beta 1. Have the in-line FX been disabled? They
still appear on Sound Forge as well, but attempts to invoke them result in the
same error message,

Thanks for your help,

David

It looks like they disabled it. It would seem each beta version has
something missing. I'm not too impressed myself. If they were going to market
this thing by allowing the public to beta test it then they knew some were/are
using it on ongoing projects. They could have put up a warning. I have no
problem with them wanting to make money on this and they aren't in the business
of providing "freeware." However a little notice would have been appropriate.
(unless this is a mistake in which case it's pretty sloppy Q&A.)
In my case I was coincidentally putting together my first multitrack
computer system when this came out. Dispite years of using Sound Forge my
initial reaction was somewhat one of disappointment. After that I warmed up to
it since the interface is unquestionably very easy to use and intuitive and it
seemed like it ran alot more tracks then competing systems. However more use of
it would indicate that this may not be the case afterall and that I can't do
much more then with samplitude or Sawpro.(won't know for sure until my 7200 RPM
drive arrives.) If that's the case then it becomes an ease-of-use/learning
curve vs features question since samplitude, for example, clearly has alot more
functions and supports more (like ASIO.) I still haven't decided but I'm
leaning against Vegas. Disabling the channel inserts sure doesn't help change
my mind.

Bob and others,

This was a bug in the original posting of Beta 3. Not intentional. It has been
corrected and is now available in the same place. The Build Number for the
'fixed' version is 132 (the broken one is 133). Nope, this is not a typo...
Build 132 that is available right now has everything working (including the
Track FX).

Sorry for the trouble. There will also be a posting of just one DLL that needs
to be replaced on Build 133 that will also fix this problem so you don't have
to re-download the entire thing again... This should be posted shortly.
