bezier mask disabled

Running SV8b Pro and when selecting bezier mask function in pan/crop, all path functions are grayed out / disabled. I am not sure how long ago, but I have used mask function in SV8.
I tried reinstalling. No go.
Also have it on different computer (same network but SV8a), and it seems to have the same problem.
Have looked at preferences and tried help menu, but have been unsuccessful. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Studio Vegas (your "SV"?) doesn't have this enabled. Are you totally sure you weren't seeing this in a full-blown Vegas, somewhere else?

I am using PRO 8b.

I finally found in the manual that after selecting mask, you must have the anchor tool selected and then click in the picture for the selections in PATH to be available. (Which I thought I had done, but obviously not until now)
