BG Track

My background music track waveform is on the timeline.
All looks normal,---mute is off.
But can't hear it.
I can hear the narration track.
I can hear the nat sound OK.
BG's not there, but looks like it is.
Dang, dang,---and double dang!
Did I just cut my finger with this tool again?
Have to be more careful.

Is automation enabled? What about when you put the project into mono using the downmix button?
Mute button not engaged? Ported to any buses?

Hold the phone.
Got BG music back,---copied to a new track.
Deleted the original.
All's well.

Anyway,---I think I inadvertenlty hit the automation settings button at least twice. Is default for that button "automation wrtie".
Other tracks are "automation off".
Should I change to "automation off" for all tracks?
Can you tell what a technical whiz I am?
Hey, that's why I'm using Vegas.

I'd turn off automation for all tracks, if you keep running into this problem. Better still, is to learn to use automation. :-)
