Big pixels on DVD

byobkim wrote on 12/14/2004, 9:02 AM
I am capturing video from a Sony Hi8 camera and importing avi file to Sony Vegas 4. Rendering the file to mpeg2 and burning to dvd Sony DVD program.
Sound is fine but my picture is pixelated whether I play it on the CRT or my television. The preview of the avi file is great but the mpeg2 is horrible.

Obviously new at this.

What were the settings the video was rendered at? Too high or too low of a rate can cause this. Also does the sony DVD program rerender everything after vegas gets doen with it?

I will have to check, I did not change the factory settings.

there is a drop down "preset" menu. (the templetes)
make sure it is set at DVD NTSC or DVD PAL.
dont keep it on "default templete"
