"Bit Rate Too Low" Message in DVDA 4

Every attempt I have made to build a DVD with DVD4 has failed with the following message: "Track 1 'Video' in 'xxxxx' cannot be recompressed because its bitrate is too low." This occurs on every video track. Since it is a fatal error, preparation will not proceed. The project properties are NTSC Widescreen, 720x480, 5.1 Surround. The MPEGs are rendered from 720p m2ts or Cineform Intermediates by Vegas 6.0d or Vegas 7.0a using the MPG template for DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen. These files, with the same project properties, work fine with DVDA 3.0c.

Is anyone else having similar problems? Is it some setting I have missed in installing DVD4? Or is this a true bug that I should report to Sone/MMS?

In the meantime I will have to continue to rely on DVDA 3.

I regularly render m2t 1080i to NTSC Widescreen 720 x 480 DD 2.0 DVDA template with Vegas 7.0b and the DVDs build fine in DVDA 4.0a with no warnings or error messages. I just tried again just before this post. You posted you are using Vegas 7.0a. The latest levels are Vegas 7.0b and DVDA 4.0a.

<edit> Did you ever go to Make DVD > Prepare > Next > Optimize and look at the settings for your video and audio to see if you can figure out what is the problem?
