Bkgrnd Video length != Audio

I have a video loop set as the background for a menu page. (Loop time = 10 secs).
I have placed a longer piece of music as the background audio (length = 2 mins).

When the menu plays, everything is fine for the 1st 10 seconds : video plays with music underneath.

At the end of the video, however, the background goes black, and the menu buttons remain as the musc plays.

In fact, looking in the mini timeline window, the timeline's length is 2 mins (with the audio waveform displayed). The video track, however, shows the first 10secs of the video loop, followed by menu buttons on a black backgrond.

I must be missing something!

How can I indicate that I want a 10 second piece of video to play for 2 minutes?? (Whether or not the video seamlessly loops is irrelevant.)

My solution has been to use Vegas to render a 2minute clip of the looping video, but it seems I should be able to do this in DVDA4

The appropriate approach is to make your video and audio the same length and render from Vegas.

Different authoring packages approach this differently. DVDA puts black video to match the audio length, DVD Lab Pro will truncate the audio to match the video.

To be sure you get what you want, feed the authoring package eactly what you want.
