@misohoza Hi n yep,, I recorded both & timed them,
1920 x 3840 MP4 AVC constant 30fps 0.47sec clip on a 3840 x 1920 30fps project, Black Bar Fill added at default settings.
VP20 Selective Prerender 11.42mins
VP20 Render out @ Magix AVC (NVENC) , 11.11mins
VP19 Selective Prerender 1.47mins
VP19 Render out @ Magix AVC (NVENC) , 1.39mins
VP20 is worse than VP19, it crashes just as much, Boris FX Editor doesn't work & at the moment Voukoder & Magic YUV don't show in the render options, there seems seems to be few less options
@Former user thanks for doing the testing between the two versions of Vegas doing the same thing. I think it's important to see where Vegas is going and hopefully improving.

@Reyfox@misohoza Yeah seems a bit of a joke putting out a new version that fails to do this, the Vegas producers have added a few extra bits to the program which are useless to me, & they've spent 0 time on making Vegas faster or more reliable, there's millions of potential customers whom with mobile phone videos being uploaded more than ever before this Black Bar Fill would be a good selling point but nooo, they've shot themselves in the foot this time & took Vegas a step backwards not forwards, 😒🤦♂️ Speed & stability is why a lot of people choose other apps like Resolve more than the add-ons they've just implemented in Vegas, nobody wants a program that takes ages to render & crashes as often as this does, struggles to play UHD files at full res, has to loop play a few times to play simple crossfades, there's issues that keep popping up on here about GoPro videos & HEVC can be a problem sometimes too ......... They need to get the fundamentals in order before they start sprinkling it with glitter,
@Former user as anti portrait mode cellphone videos that I am, I see the need to have it working since a lot of people do shoot this way. I hate it, but it's the way it is. So yes, black bar fill is important. And if it takes a long time to do it, no one will look to Vegas, even though it does many things well. I can live with the UHD playback issues. Yes, other software, including Magix do play back better. But I think the underlying problem is manpower.
@misohoza The team is looking into this, along with others, so hoping the fix will come soon.
Working with media from cellphones is what i work with regular, so this filter is very essential for many. Boris also has a similar filter, but i far prefer using the Vegas one.
