Black Box Around Video In Preview and After Rendering

I am on Vegas Movie Studio 16.0 Platinum. Today when I got on to edit a video for a buddy, there was a black box surrounding the video contents in the preview window. This was weird to me because I had just finished editing a video with no issues a few days ago, and have not turned the program on since then or changed any settings. I continued editing and 5 hours later I test rendered and noticed it is rending the video with the black box. I have been searching forums and YouTube for a fix for a couple of hours now and nothing is working. I have tried matching the aspect ratio of the project settings to the source video (video is in 1920x1080 and the project is also set to that, and I am also rendering as that), pixel aspect ratio set to 1.000 Square (I also tried all the other options as well), and I played around with a bunch of other settings. I have also uploaded screenshots of the source video properties as well as the project properties showing they match. The third screenshot is showing the black box issue I ma having.

Is there something I am missing? I tried resetting Movie Studio as well, and that did nothing but lose the settings I have been used to for a while.

So playing around I opened a new project for the 8th time and opened the original video (like I did before and other times with different source videos recorded at the same resolution), and it got rid of the black bars. So my fix I found was the copy everything from the original project and paste it into the new project and it fixed it. Double checked everything and there was no difference in the project settings, so I am not sure what caused this issue in the first place, just glad that I did not waste 5 hours of my time.

You probably had the source video placed on the "Picture In Picture" track?

Thank you for the reply, but this was not the case. I had other items in the Picture in picture track, but my main video source never leaves the video track.

What FX did you have applied to your video source? Perhaps PIP FX got included by mistake either to the video on the timeline or to the track.

Already tagged the solution I found. No FX were used and the issue was as soon as I opened the video in the software. I pegging it as a bug that restarting it as a new project fixed.
