i've discovered a very odd problem with a video i'm currently working on. while watching the preview through vegas, the video plays fine without any problems. however, after rendering the video to Quicktime 5, i notice that at a certain point in the video it flickers between the vid and a full black frame. I then went back to the vegas preview and zoomed in so that i could see just about every video frame pictured on the timeline. when i did this i noticed that the timeline would randomly show that it had all black frames until i changed the zoom and then those black frames would be in different places on the timeline.

any ideas why this may be ocurring? again, when watching the preview in vegas, the flicker is not present. only after it is rendered does it ahow up consistantly.

original video format is unknown. extention was .mpe so i'm guessing some mpeg compression
