Black Preview Screen

Jane-Bonny wrote on 8/25/2022, 4:49 PM

I am using Vegas Pro 19, Build 643 on Windows 10.

Processor            Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz   3.70 GHz

Installed RAM    64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable)

Device ID   03BF818F-FD57-4D01-B811-8D0145F0D44D

Product ID   00325-96317-27622-AAOEM

Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti

I imported a couple of video clips and created titles for what people are saying on the clips. I then added a couple of jpgs. They do not display on the preview screen. Furthermore, the videos have now stopped being displayed. Only the audio seems to be working.

I am attaching the images you requested. I think I must have made some sort of universal change because I now see that other projects are doing the same thing.

@Jane-Bonny Hi, Help driver updates is saying you need to update to 516.94, scroll down on that window it'll give you a Download option, & in File I/O you have QSV chosen not your 3080 GPU, click the dropdown & change it then restart Vegas,

@Jane-Bonny
Thanks for the screenshots.
Your hardware is nearly the same as mine, only your Nvidia card is newer, but has to use the same driverversion as mine.
Also the QSV driver of your Intel graphics need to be updated.
These are my settings and I have no problems with Vegas Pro 19

If after upgraded drivers and a new start you see the same problem you need to reset the program . This will reset all options to the beginning ( and needed if you made a change by accident)
For resetting follow exactly this link for help: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

You guys are lifesavers. I'm back in business. At least one of my videos is up to speed. If the others falter, I'll be back, but I'm optimistic.
