Does anyone know how to do this with Vegas - this is a fairly standard method of eliminating time code problems as in Final Cut Pro this option - Black to Tape - will basically record 'black' from begining to end of a blank mini dv tape, so that when you start recording and then later bring into Final Cut Pro- the software can control the camera because the time code is set on the tape.

So you do not have to remember where you are on the tape, when editing.
