I thought after reading the forums that my issue was that I was trying to run Vegas 9 (build 92) in Vista Ultimate 64 Bit, so I tried it in XP Pro (32-bit) - same issues on both machines.
I created a set of clips together with an audio track. When I am in Vegas on BOTH the Vista 64 bit machine and the XP Pro machine, I have issues with the viewer. Draft and Preview options work fine, I can see the video in them. When I chose to view the clips in Good and Best options - the video is blank. This is in BOTH OS's.
Then I try to render - I get blank video. I get all the audio without an issue from both the video's audio and the added audio track, but the video is missing totally. Not one frame renders in the video side of things. I am importing from XFire created videos which saves them as avi's. I can play them on any PC without an issue. I can see them in Vegas and split, fade and do anything else with them, but rendering them out to a viewable file is not happening.
Is this software simply crap and I just spent $80+ on junk or is there a fix out there for this?
