I think that "External Monitor" is used for video via dv card, not thru HDMI.

** Corection, indeed it can be done and I tried it myself

*** I prefer dragging the preview window to that second monitor and add to it the window of the time display (time-code)

Which pixel settings and other settings are set on that monitor?

Its an Acer SB220Q bi 21.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS Ultra-Thin Zero Frame Monitor (HDMI & VGA port). Refresh Rate: 75Hz - Using HDMI port.

My new Acer computer has only HDMI port and no VGA port.
