Editing CF DI and rendering to SD DV PAL in 16:9, shot on A1.
Lookings great mostly except some of the cuts seem to blink rather than cut, more noticeable when rendered to DVD and played back on 50i TV.
Looking carefully at the cuts in the AVI I'm seeing many of them at the cut contain one field from the frame before and one field from the frame after the cut.
I know that at one point I'd turned off QTF while I tweaked some audio and didn't turn it back on prior to trimming a few cuts in the vision but I wne back and redid the cuts.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I'll go back and recheck all the cuts in case I've managed to cut not on a frame boundary. That in conjuction with the UFF to LFF transposition in the render could explain this. Not exactly a major issue I guess, just one of those things that bugs me visually.
Bob.
