Blocky Images with Advanced Capture

I set Vegas to "advanced capture" from x timecode to y timecode and the results are blocky video. Have to delete the captured .avi and recapture whole tape in regular "capture" mode. Anyone else have this problem?

Never. I use the advanced capture in order to compile the edit list which I use to recapture clips and ressurect the project if modifications are required. AVID has the same functionality.

I always use batch (advanced) capture. It has worked very well and allows ME to break the tape into sections as needed. No problems with the video quality.
