You could use the normal Mainconcept templates that you used for SD or you could experiment with custom templates from the Mainconcept and/or Sony AVC/MVC Blu-ray templates.

I created a custom template from the Sony AVC/MVC Blu-ray 1920x1080-60i, 16 mbps template that passes through DVD Architect without re-encoding. Notice the Blu-ray template was changed to 720x480 at par 1.2121. You might have to look for field order issues. Experiment!

It is very simple -Sony makes it so!! You are shooting source SD (4:3) or 16:9 - edit on a timeline of HDV 1440 ..x 1080 properties.
You may want to use track motion to zoom out on events giving more (i.e., wider) letterbox effects to your SD events - this helps preserve quality the same way that national broadcasts deal with various formats in today's HD delivery system.

Then use the standard template of VegasPro to deliver a Blu-ray video (MPg2) and audio (ac3) streams. These will import into DVD Arch Pro readily and your off to burn as setup Blu-ray HDV source project.
