Blue colour inverted (shows as brown)

xai wrote on 10/4/2024, 10:55 PM

In Vegas Effects 21.

Adding video to Project Media, shows sky blue (correct colour)

Dragging video to video viewer or timeline, causes blue to become brown colour.

This is true in Vegas 21 also.

export is also impacted showing brown sky. Single frame export below

Playback of video in Windows 10 is showing blue sky.

What GPU are you using?

Notes for VEGAS say:

"Blue and Red colors may be swapped in VEGAS Effects and HitFilm when using recent AMD Adrenalin drivers.  It is recommended to revert the driver to version 23.7.2 to avoid this problem"

Well, if its not a GPU issue, you have a video effect enabled somewhere that is causing this change. Check the Video output fx icon above the preview window, to see if an effect is enabled there.

It's an AMD driver issue. Even using the latest driver, 24.9.1, it still does what @xai wrote.

You have to go back to a driver version.

I've moved on from VE since it is no longer being updated/supported sadly.
