I can find several references to creating a Blue-ray disc direct from the timeline but nothing as regards creating a disc using DVDA so kindly excuse me if this is a repeat question as my search criteria is not good enough.
Could someone advise me please as to what option I should choose from the drop-down list presented when the Render As menu box is opened. I see DVD Architect wide screen options that I have been using in the past and although Blue-ray is mentioned it doesn't clearly specify Blue-ray disc widescreen etc. I may be of course looking into this too far so would appreciate someone confirming what settings I should choose for Rendering As from VMSP v11. My source material will be 1920x1080x25p/PAL.
I am asking this question now in anticipation of a new PC arriving in the coming days and will in the future have the facility for creating Blue-ray discs from my projects. That said, I haven't as yet actually got a Blue-ray player in order to watch them on my HDTV. Looking around my local electrical store yesterday I see that there are a multitude of devices on offer ranging from the very cheap to the ridiculously expensive. Would appreciate any tips for what I should be looking out for prior to making a purchase. Would perhaps choosing a Western Digital player (can't exactly remember the correct name now - sorry) be a better option?
Same applies to the discs themselves - only Sony Blue-ray discs are on offer locally and it appears that unlike DVD's, Blue-ray discs come in various capacities and at least three variants. What's the advice in this regard please?
