The shot will be just a simple head talking which will end up infront of a demonstartion video behind it.
What is the cheapest material(in a jiffy) to pull this off.
Secrets anyone?
Thanx.

Head over to Wal*Mart or any nearby fabric store and buy a couple of yards of blue material. As long as it's smooth and has a solid color you'll be ok. Pin it to a wall or board behind the person, stretching it tight to avoid any wrinkles. You may find ironing it will be helpful. By far, the most important part is to light it evenly. Two lights evenly spaced off to each side coming in at 45 degree angles to the background and at about eyelevel height to the subject may be good enough to do the job. They should be far enough away so that they don't make noticeable "hot spots". If you have a light meter handy you can check different areas of the background to see how evenly it's lit. Have the person sit far enough in front of the background so that the shadows are out of the frame.
And don't forget to tell your guy not to wear blue!!!
Also: avoid blue reflexions from the background on your subject ("sidekicks" reflexions usually found around cheeks and shoulders...).
The more "isolated" your subject from any form of blue color, the better...
Use whatever color is most radically different from your subject. If your subject is poppa smurf in a green vest, you'd better use an orange background!
Thanx guys!!!
Great stuff as usual!!!
