Blurry Splotches on Rotate

This has always been a bit of a problem. When rotating the video using Pan/Crop, the resulting image will have a few blurry spots here and there. So a person in the video could be in perfect focus, but his head could be blurry. It's very random.

Even if I render at the best quality, it's still noticable. Any similar problems? Any workaround?

I'm wondering if you're seeing artifacts of interlace made visible by rotating? You have resample enabled? It should resample anyway, but this might help. Without seeing exactly the effect, it's somewhat hard to troubleshoot.

To what format are you rendering? MPEG-2? WMV? MOV?

I would not expect this problem when rendering to a DV AVI file, or to a DVD-quality MPEG-2 file. However, I have seen exactly the problem you describe when rendering to streaming WMV files. It's not a function of rotation, but instead a function of the encoder. VBR WMV has less of a problem.
