Boris FX BCC Units hangs during installation of Vegas Pro 14

Greetings all...

I purchased Vegas Pro 14 Suite, all programs install successfully with the exception of Boris FX BCC Units. The status bar hangs at about 50%, the registration window for the Install shield Wizard pops up, I enter all the required information and although the Next > button is highlighted, clicking it does nothing. The installer just hangs.

I used the program download link enclosed in the confirmation of purchase email from Magix. Does anyone know why this is happening and more to the point, how I can get this damn thing to properly install? Again, everything else installed fine, just the Boris FX BCC Units is the problem.

System info: Intel Core i7 4GHz, 16GB RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

After contacting Magix, I received a reply from them that I should contact Boris FX directly...apparently Magix didn't want to fix the problem.

I'm glad I contacted Boris FX though, Neal and Jon there are super people and they are absolutely dedicated to excellent customer service. Apparently the problem was with the Vegas Pro 14 bundle, it was (if memory serves correct) using one channel to authenticate multiple Boris programs, and in doing so, the installation would hang indefinitely.

I also learned that Boris had over 400 complaints about this, though most people seemed to understand this was an issue with the bundle and not due to any mistake on Boris' part.

Oh...and Boris is also offering an attractive discount to those of us affected by this glitch on Boris Continuum Complete 10 which also makes one eligible for the BCC 11 upgrade set to be available soon.

And the best part is, if you decide to switch editing software, like move to Premiere let's say, Boris will make sure you get the proper version of BCC for your new software (I think they switch the license, so you'd lose the Vegas license if you switched to Premiere). These guys really have gone out of their way to help me and I can not say enough good things about Boris FX.

Boris offered to send me an email link to the software usually bundled in with Vegas Pro 14. They also notified me of the discounted price on BCC10 for disgruntled VP14 users and I bought it. All you need to do is contact them and they will get on it ASAP. I initially went to their site and began an online chat, with Neal who then offered to call me, and after hearing about the discounted price on BCC 10, I bought it. Super helpful people, I can not recommend Boris FX enough!
