If all you want is Boris FX, then, yes, it's a no brainer.
If you want Graffiti as well, then go for the Boris bundle.

A question for anyone who purchased this FX9.1 offer or who has being using FX for some time - where is the "export to movie file" option. I can see it in the ltd version that came with vegas but not in 9.1?

I'm actually a Boris Red user and use the product as both a plugin and in standalone mode. When it is a plugin, Vegas does the rendering, but in standalone mode a built-in renderer is available. To the best of my knowledge FX only works as a plugin and therefore cannot export any media from within. You would have to upgrade to Red if you need this feature.
