I have recently started using a new desktop PC and have been reintroducing software that I was using on my laptop. However After installing Vegas Post I cannot find Boris FX Primatte studio. I then went to the Boris site from the link in my purchase email from Magix entered my details to download Primatte studio and get a box that says its already registered. I can use the program on my laptop. Anybody got any idea how to overcome this problem please? Cheers John

From the comment of this video :

I wish I had seen this video BEFORE I purchased Vegas Pro 19 because if I had, I would have bought NONE of this. Vegas Pro 19 lets you install it on two computers. This Boris FX Continuum Primatte Studio came with the purchase of Vegas Pro 19 but it only lets you have it installed and active on ONE computer at a time, and you must wait 30 days between changing activation to a different computer. So if you regularly use two computers (I do), you can't just change it back and forth as needed. I have a laptop (downstairs where I watch TV) and a desktop computer (upstairs in my home office) and I go back and forth between them. Previously this was not a problem, since everything that came with Vegas Pro 18 let me install it along with Vegas, on two systems. Now I can't. I'm a home user trying to dabble in, and learn about, video editing (lately green screen stuff). If I can only have some of the software active on ONE computer (for 30 days at a time!!!), that kills my incentive to learn how to use it, as I 'd have to purchase ANOTHER license to be able to use it fluidly between my two computers. I only upgraded to Vegas 19 because it said it included Primatte. Ii I had realized the limitations I would not have paid to upgrade to VEGAS Pro 19. To be clear, the Vegas Pro 19 works on both computers. Just not with the Boris FX Continuum Primatte Studio (or the extra Sapphire that was also included with the Vegas purchase).

It indicate that you need to deacvivate the old Primatte Studio before you use it in a new computer.

Presumably John's only solution is to purchase a second copy from Boris?

Or you can deactivate Primatte Studio in the Boris FX Application Manager if you have that app installed, or deactivate Primatte Studio in your BorisFX My Account via the Reset License button from under the License Files heading (can only be done this way once per month).

Possibly, BorisFX products only allow one computer to be activated at any one time with any of its products, but the BorisFX App Manager (easily available for free from BorisFX's download webpage) allows deactivation/activation in order to switch between computers - or using the deactivation/activation function within the FX itself. But if you want to use a BorisFX product at the same time on two different computers, you would need to buy another license.
