boris red 3gl

I would like to see how boris red 3gl works with vegas. Could someone with boris make a short training like video so I can see how this integrates. I don't want anyone to spend too much time doing this. I just want to see how the user interface is and looks. I'm sure this would be of help to anyone thinking about boris red 3gl. BTW, for all with academic qualifications it is 499.95 on academic superstore.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

there's a demo - also search this forum because one of the boris people posted instructions. It's a bit overwhelming without that.

Go the Boris site and watch the demos - it is not specific to VV but when you use it with VV you have to open the RedGL window anyway so you will see the interface. What you don't see in the little tutoriol clips is really simple - in VV you drop the plug-in onto the clip you want it on and you get the typical VV plug-in screen but instead of the normal controls you get a little box that says "Lauch Boris FX". After that you are in the main RedGL program - which is shown on the demo at the Boris site.

Do you then save the clip or just close the plug-in box like normal and render or print to tape?

Thanks.

Steve. I did look at the demo earlier today. Looks like a good program. I'm just worried about spending 500 clams on buggy software.

read my post for sort of an overview. Short answer (if you don't want to read my post) is that you "exit" and you will get a pop up asking if you want to save your settings. You click "yes" and it goes back to VV with the settings. In theory you go on as normal after that. For more details on the specific "bug" I found read all of my post. http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?Forum=4&MessageID=229109
