BorisFX BCC7 Free Webinar Thursday 1:pm EDT

JohnnyRoy wrote on 2/16/2011, 4:00 AM
I just wanted to make sure that people know that I'm hosting a free webinar on BCC7 this Thursday, February 17th at 1:pm EST for BorisFX. The topic is "Killer Titles in Sony Vegas Pro" and it's sponsored by Sony.

You can check out the trailer below or on the BorisFX Events page and sign up from the Register Now link on that page.

I'm going to take you through using Sony Text Generated Media with BCC7 effects to spice up lower thirds, use Text on Path and Extruded EPS to make logos with animated text, use 3D Deformers to create interesting titles, and use Shatter, Glow, and Rays to create exploding titles. I tried to add a little something for everyone from the subtle to outrageous. ;-)

Hope to see you there.

Sounds great Johnny, but here in China we're not allowed to watch anything as subversive as internet video, so I hope your webinar will be available for download later on.

Like many I suspect, I'm slowly realising what an amazing expansion to Vegas' capabilities BCC7 represents, and your tutorials are a great way of acquiring the necessary know-how to use this plug-in.

Keep on truckin'

Peter

Absolutely. It will be available for download shortly after the webinar. I agree that Vegas Pro 10's OFX support has opened the door for exceptional tool sets like BCC7 that really raise the bar. I hardly use After Effects anymore; I can get most of what I use to use it for (motion tracking, titles, etc.) from BCC7 right on Vegas Pro 10. ;-)

Do you know if we will get any warning before the price of BCC goes up?

Hi John,

Trailer looks excellent ! There is also note about VEG templates ready for download. I have BCC7 already and I'm interested to get it...

But please tell me, how it will be organized ? It's difficult to login on webinar from my location and serveral times had to kiss the handle ... I'm affraid that many download instances will generate additional workload for servers ...

.. or maybe you have prepared personalized links for participants ?

Best regards,

I don't know but it's still $400 off which is incredible considering it has stabalization, noise reduction, uprez, chroma key, motion tracking, 3d text, super slo-motion, plus the 150+ other FX. It's a lot to buy all at once but it will keep you busy learning it all for years to come. lol. ;-)

Actually what will be made available after the webinar are all of the FX as Filter Packages (i.e., plug-in chains) in the .sfpreset format of the Sony Preset Manager 2.0. If you download the Preset Manager from the Sony Utilities page, you will be able to import these filter packages into Vegas Pro 10 and have them available to drag and drop onto any media in any project.

At the top of this web page select Support | Training or just click here. The Webinars are listed about 1/2 way down the page.
