I think he has been on the forum, cut a movie on vegas , forget what it it was. I dont know, i still like 4 and tolerate 5 . Just cant get comfy with 6
Yep, and indeed I am still cutting it. Very low budget affair. VERY low budget affair! The review is fairly old (well as old as Vegas 6 itself at any rate).
Jay, how did you manage shooting that bikini pagent? We just don't get tough assignments like that in the UK ;-) Good work!
"Great for me because it means my 'secret' software can remain secret for a while longer, and I can get on with things knowing I have an edge on many others without them knowing!"
That statement among others in your review really tickled my funny bone. There was a time not so long ago when the entire audio community over in the Vegas Audio forum had those exact same sediments. Hopefully, video users will have better luck than they did, on the NLE side of things.

Umm, the video users have had plenty of 'luck'.
Most of the audio community wishes very much that Vegas would stop hiding and catch up with all the other audio apps out there, as by todays standards it is lacking in many ways. It's only 'secret' because no-one seems to choose Vegas for audio when they have better options in Cubase, Sonar, Nuendo, Samplitude and possibly Protools.
...with the exception of users like myself. I bought Sonar 4 Producer to do music/sound for film and video work (among other things). I got so fed up with bugs and missing features that I purchased Vegas 6 to do foley and sound track work.
Sonar is great for composing, recording, soft-synths, etc, but Vegas 6 is still better for fitting audio on a video timeline.
I tried to convince myself to buy Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, and ProTools; but prices, sketchy copy-protection [SONY: TAKE NOTE], bugs, poor customer service, or weaker feature sets in each of these convinced me to go with Sonar. I'm still happy with that choice, it just doesn't quite fill all the film-work needs yet.
Plus, it's nice to have the video conversion and editing capabilities side by side with decent audio tools.

Thanks for your kind words! Means a lot coming from someone like you.
Regarding the bikini pagent... I guess that's one the few perks of living in Miami. The hard part was shooting outside in the sun and 95 degree heat. It was brutal.
