Hi, MS12P is giving me a headache. I can barely render squat without it crashing or worse.
What I Get:
Desktop freezes
BSOD, usually Unrecoverable Hardware Error
Program Crashes
Problem Description
Application Name: Movie Studio Platinum
Application Version: Version 12.0 (Build 1184) 64-bit
Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
Fault Module: C:\Program Files\Sony\Movie Studio Platinum 12.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\mcmp4plug2\mc_cpu\mc_enc_avc.dll
Fault Address: 0x000007FEE9AC71FC
Fault Offset: 0x00000000000171FC
Fault Process Details
Process Path: C:\Program Files\Sony\Movie Studio Platinum 12.0\MovieStudioPlatinum120.exe
Process Version: Version 12.0 (Build 1184) 64-bit
Process Description: Movie Studio Platinum
Process Image Date: 2013-08-21 (Wed Aug 21) 20:27:50
What hasn't worked:
Rendering in lower resolutions, formats (mp4, avc, wmv, mpg)
Changing to either CPU / GPU rendering
Changing to either latest beta/WQHL Nvidia driver
Running in Vista comparability mode
Reinstalling Movie Studio
Rolling back/uninstalling Quick time
So far I've only been able to eek out two complete renders, a super tiny iPod mp4 and a super huge 8 gig avi.
I have a AMD FX-8350 and GTX 760 on 64 bit Windows 7 with 8 GB ram. Neither seem to be overheating.
The video itself is just 2 minutes long with some effects.
Thanks in advance.
