⚠️ (Bug Alert!) Pre-rendering issues [Shift + M]

When a pre-render is done in projects with different aspect ratios, Vegas renders at 1080p, so it ends up not being useful on those occasions.

Did you try changing your pre-render settings?

@m3lquixd Hi, I get the same @DMT3 -

Vegas help -

From the Tools menu, choose Selectively Prerender Video. The Prerender Video dialog appears.

Choose a template from the Template drop-down list to specify the parameters that should be used for rendering your file, or click the Custom button to create a new template

No box appears, Selectively Prerender renders immediately, no choice of render options, ?

Agreed. But the render options box does appear when selecting Tools/Render to New Track (VP20 b411) which of course is a different Tools option to 'Selectively Prerender Video ...'.

I've no idea if it will make any difference but is "Adjust source media to better match project or render settings" been selected in File/Project Properties/Video.

@Dexcon Yep I get the options box when selecting Render to New Track, Adjust source media on or off doesn't seem to make any difference.

PS, I just played with this option - Custom sizes & Allow source in the render templates window with no success

Maybe it's your project settings, 4853 pixels horizontal is not a valid number. Also I'm doubting that Magix AVC, which is used for prerendering, can handle such high horizontal resolutions. (max horizontal usable resolution for AVC is 4096)

@3POINT  Think you're right, there was another post where someone had to use HEVC to get a similar size, AVC won't render that size,

I changed these setting to HEVC & when i did Selective prerender it did it correctly,

But still 'No box appears, Selectively Prerender renders immediately, no choice of render options'. This is for all media & project sizes

Odd numbers cause all kinds of problems with video- try to avoid them. (4853!)

Even Voukoder does not render odd pixel numbers.
