@John-Ivar Absolutely brilliant, video and audio! After an initial problem, I've never bothered reinstalling Boris, which came with v19, because after seeing the preceding benchmark project, I realised there was so much you can already do within Vegas, (levels way ahead of me) that it just wasn't worth it. And you have shown this again brilliantly. Oh, and thanks so much for the latest benchmark project, even though I mainly do travel and family videos, it's still full of tips and tricks that's such a great tutorial for me for just when I want that odd touch of flair😁

Gigabyte Aorus Pro V2 motherboard, AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, Gigabyte AMD RX 6800XT, 64GB Corsair Vengeance 3600MHz ("Ryzen tuned", whatever that is), 500GB Corsair Force MP600 Gen 4 M.2 C:drive for windows and programs, 500GB Samsung Sata SSD EVO D:drive for video files, 1TB Samsung Sata SSD EVO E:drive for all other data, Creative Sound Blaster Z sound card, Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce 360 CPU cooler, Thermaltake Core P5 TG open case, Contour ShuttleXpress.

Update 2 is finally here!

As you might gather, I'm very excited about this new update. So I decided to make another fan made promo video.

Like my last one, the rule is to do everything natively inside VEGAS Pro, with no additional software or third party plugins. These are fun side projects, and allow me to dive deep into VEGAS Pro. There's so much cool stuff you can do through experimenting with FX chains, compositing modes, adjustment layers, colors, blurs and lighting effects.

I keep telling team VEGAS they need you on their team... even if just as a sub-contracted freelancer. I hope that happens someday.

...or doing tutorials.....

John-Ivar wrote on 1/23/2023, 12:04 PM

Wow, thank you so much for the warm compliments @Vincent-Brice! Your feedback is part of what makes being a part of this community so much fun for me!

I like the third party stuff, but I feel it often comes with a learning curve and a price that makes finding good native alternatives within VEGAS very motivating.

I think this philosophy is also why I find so much joy in really digging into VEGAS and finding new ways of showing off its capabilities to potential newcomers. Video editing and motion graphics just wouldn't be as much fun if everyone used the exact same tools from the same mega corporation.

Also thank you @fr0sty and @Reyfox, you're both awesome!

I feel so strongly about you needing to be a part of the team, I sent them another email, lol... "Compare the official release video of update 2 to this one..." There really is no comparison, your video evokes emotion... it doesn't just show features, it makes you see how you can use those features to create not just a look, but a feel for your videos.

Heard back, Team VEGAS saw your work and has indeed taken notice... hopefully y'all can chat soon.

@John-Ivar I would love to see a tutorial of this , especially how you did the effects on the text parts in Vegas.

John-Ivar wrote on 1/23/2023, 1:19 PM

Hi @fr0sty, I appreciate your compliments and your efforts to share it with the team. I'm really humbled. I'm sure they take notice of a lot of things coming from all the talented users, so I wouldn't worry.

I would of course love working with VEGAS in some official capacity, but I think we should keep in mind it's not necessarily as easy as 'Nintendo, hire this man', as the meme goes.

Budgeting, existing marketing efforts and relations, scope and ambitions, distance, business culture, availability, personal chemistry, are just a handful of the things playing into getting such a deal running efficiently. Not to mention the working relationship between Magix and the VEGAS team (Magix might have differing plans for outreach and spending).

Also, comparing this planned update highlight video with a spesific scope and budget, to a fan made project made on pure passion and on a technically 'unlimited' budget might not paint a fair picture of the underlying efforts of the official marketing team in the first place.

I might be rambling a bit, I just want to make sure we're not dunking on the existing communications people's work unjustifiably, and remember it's all coming from a larger context of agreed scopes, spendings and contracts that we don't know about.

One interval running session programme with my friend.

More to Insta360 One X2 performance rather than the editing.

Good afternoon! I came to take advantage of this space to show my work done in Vegas Pro. I really enjoy doing Motion and Visual Effects in Vegas. Below are some examples!
A few little things I had to do in ❇️ Vegas Effects. (I'll let you know when and what it was) But everything else was entirely in Vegas Pro.
Some videos were made to watch in a loop, so to have a better experience, I recommend right-clicking on the video and activating the option: loop. I marked with 🔄 the videos that are loops.
Ps. I'm Brazilian, so most of you won't understand what is written in the texts.

⬇️ Motion and Video Editing ⬇️

⬇️ Motions ⬇️

🔄
❇️ (The characters in walking cycle were made in Vegas Effects with the puppet tool)

🔄 *You don't need to activate it because it already has a loop included.
❇️ (The 3D Animation of the football coat of arms was made in Vegas Effects, using the 3D Extrusion tool)

🔄🔄

That was a lot of fun to click through @m3lquixd! You're talented. You've got a great eye for color and motion. I especially love the Cultura a Gosto and Massayo Kids titles. They really pop in the way they move and look. Great work!

m3lquixd, watched all of them, and loved the way you made the text, graphics and edits move, dance and bounce.

Learning to use a slider/panner. Testing with a bunch of Valentine's Day roses and a soundtrack I borrowed from my wife. Did a small amount of positional tweaking with legacy Smart Zoom FX which resulted in about a 2 minute laptop render. Also tried the AI Upscale FX but killed it after render time projection climbed to over 20 minutes. Hope to use this same approach to shoot my garden in the Spring.

@Howard-Vigorita thanks for answering for me, "who was that talented musician on the piano"!

@Reyfox I lifted the intro from one of the 1st rehearsal videos I uploaded to YT of her back in 2007. It's her cover of Map To The Treasure by Laura Nyro. One of these days I'll release the full finished audio project.
