Bug detecting 1440x1080 video as 4:3

I'm not sure where to report bugs but this one seems to be 100% reproducible in DVD Architect Pro 6.0 build 237:

(1) I rendered an AVC file in Vegas Pro using the standard PAL template - MainConcept AVC/AAC Blu-ray 1440x1080-50i, 25 Mbps video stream - and created a video file 1440x1080x32 25fps.

(2) I create a DVD Architect Project with Properties are set as 1440x1080 resolution, Aspect Ratio 16:9, and Frame rate 25i.

(3) I import the AVC file into DVD Architect by dragging it onto the menu.

(4) When I preview the DVD the video displays as 4:3!

If you go into File | Optimize Disc and select the video it says it's NTSC 720x480 29.970 4:3.

If you do the same using the Blu-ray 1920x1080-50i, 25 Mbps video stream template instead of the 1440x1080 it works fine so it's just a problem with 1440x1080 PAL media.

I have no experience with PAL renders or templates...so don't know that this is a universal case.

Several issues to look for are the "flags" carried by a render codec to let DVDAPro know the format coming in to it's place. Does this situation completely repeat itself, or are the flags setting so random, that it can happen on occassion?

OR does it manifest itself when certain render and import to project type are askew and different from a setting of defaults?

This was reported by a customer on the Creative COW. I replicated it 1st time I tried it. So those are two data points. If the flags are wrong, it's still a Sony bug since Sony is both writing and reading the file.

BTW, you don't need to know anything about PAL to recreate the problem yourself. You might want to try it and see.

DVDA 6 isn't ready for prime time on several fronts.
5.x is good.
