Here are two emails I sent to Alesis support about a problem I had that ruined a session this morning.

I installed the latest software/firmware for Multi-mix-16FW mixer.
I can play music back from the PC via firewire cable, but am unable to get a mic signal into Vegas 7.0.

The mic makes sound through the mixer just fine, but firewire won't carry the mic signal into Vegas.

Everything was fine last week until I upgraded the Alesis drivers and firmware. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and still not working.

I tried to download and install OLDER driver/firmware but it's no longer on the website and I deleted them off my PC.

Any ideas?

Here is follow-up email after I fixed it:

I found a fix.
I routed the signal from my mic through the Alesis FW channels 17/18, The "Main Mix" send, rather than mic channel send, to Vegas software. I immediately got signal!

Then I went back and reset the Alesis output channel to mono 1 where is was before and I am getting signal again.

Not sure if this is a Vegas or Alesis Bug, but this cured it.
